It would make pain manageable and he would be able to move around a bit. From the injuries I read of he’d be unable to move let alone sit up for at least 2 weeks.
The pain would be manageable if he’d accept the morphine but he’ll barely take vicodin.

Because he doesn’t need it. He shouldn’t start relying on metahuman help when he’s injured.
It isn’t relying on it, it’s help from a fellow hero that can help. I mean I’m certain the magicians have all offered to heal him as well. At least mine is based in silence not witchcraft.
